To call, make, appoint, assign, consider, vote, elect, choose, designate (bo nhiem).
   I call her party
   We make our child a singer.
   They appoint him secretary
   I consider her my sister.
   I choose her for my leader.
   I choose her as my sister.
   I consider her to be my sister.

To ask, talk/told, advise, want, persuad, warn
   She asked veryone to leave.
   They told us to wait outside.
   The doctor advised him to stay in bed.
   I wanted the others to help us.
   He persuaded me to go to the party.
   She warned them to be careful.
   John wanted to get an IBM but I persuaded him to buy an Apple Macintosh.
   She warned the children not to swim near the rocks.

To said, suggest, insist, talk/told, warn (with THAT)
   He said that it was good
   She suggested that we go together.
   He insisted that we work until 5 p.m
   They told him that it was expensive.
   She warned me that it was dangerous.
   She insisted that I stay with them

Notes:
An object complement is a noun, a pronoun, or an adjective which follows adirect object to rename it or state what it has become.
Examples of Object Complements
Here are some more examples of object complements:
   _ I found the guard sleeping.
   _ We all consider her unworthy.
   _ I declare this centre open.
   _ We consider fish spoiled once it smells like what it is.
   _ To obtain a man's opinion of you, make him mad. (Oliver Wendell Holmes, 1809-1894) 
An object complement is not always one word. It could be a phrase. For example:
   _ I found the guard sleeping in the barn.
   _ We all consider her unworthy of the position.

   She said the film was terrible.
   He told me it's not possible.
   Can you explain what to do?
   She suggested that we go to an Italian restaurant.
   Can we discuss my report?
   I want him to leaves.
   I apologised me to buy a dictionary.
   She insisted on paying.

   I didn't understand how the photocopier worked but she kindly showed me.
   She wasn't satisfied with her course, so she went to see the Principal to complain.
   It was a terrible thing to say to him, but she refused to apologise.
   I didn't want to go at first but she persuaded me
   He knew it was dangerous but he didn't warn me.
   She advised them to stay here but they insisted on going.
   I booked the room by phone but they asked me to confirm it in writing.
   I don't think it was my fault but they still blamed me,
   She didn't know the way but I explained how to get there.
   They watched the film together and then they discussed it in small groups.

   Some of us were getting hungry so I suggested that we go for a meal.
   They were making a lot of noise next door and I told them to be quiet.
   She went to that new Italian restaurant and said it was great.
   We read the book for homework and discussed it in class.
   The streets are quite dangerous at night so I insisted on going with her
   It was only a few minutes to the beach, but I still couldn't persuade him to go.
   She wasn't feeling very well and the teacher advised her to go home.
   The whole team played badly but most of the newspapers have blamed the manager for the defeat
