In the living room - your house

1. Things in the living room:

While the cat was asleep in the armchair, I sat on the sofe and had a look at the paper. Then I turned on the TV and went to make a cup of tea.

2. Useful prepositions:

The sofa is near the window
The coffee table is in the middle of the room
Next to the sofa is a small table
The bookshelf is against the wall.
The TV is in the corner.
Where's the telephone book? Under the small table.

3. Things we use:
Where is the remote control for the TV?
There's a reading lamp on the desk
Close the curtains and switch the light on; it's getting dark.
Turn the radio off and turn the TV on, please. I wan't to watch the football

Somewhere two/three people can sit - a sofa
Somewhere you can put down your coffee-cup - a table
